Joakim Hjortland

At the age of 17, God fundamentally changed Joakim's life. His life goal of becoming a professional football player and winning football games turned into a desire to work for God and win people for His kingdom. Since then, Joakim has experienced many adventurous situations through his trust in Him. In addition to preaching and teaching the gospel on six continents, Joakim has authored three books, co-founded ASI Scandinavia and IMPACT generation, a dynamic youth movement that has been organizing mission trips in ten European countries for over a decade. Joakim enjoys watching God transform lives and firmly believes that He has big and amazing plans for His church and its youth today. He currently serves as a local church elder, president of ASI Scandinavia, and director of AFCOE (Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism Europe).

Mikael Takamaa

I am a Finnish-Filipino man living in Helsinki with my Lithuanian wife Emilia. At the age of 16 I had a radical conversion when Jesus Christ changed my life. Since then I have been passionate about mission. In 2019, I spent a year in Australia studying at ARISE Discipleship School and dedicated myself to planting churches in Newcastle. Then, in 2020, we planted an Oikos community church in the capital region of Finland. I now serve as co-director of the Oikos congregation and youth leader for the Finnish Union. My wife and I love to serve missionally together, especially with young people. In our free time we like to travel and spend time in nature.
